My 2011
On this last day of 2011, I remember all the highlights. Working as office assistant at VP Admin office for 3mo HK trip with Hunny and Babam,Boracay with the sexies, Babam’s 3rd Bday at Bohol Tropics, HK and Macau with hunny’s fam, all cebu-manila-cebu-manila trips, RCW, Hunny’s month long Thailand stay, Hater, My bday, christmas, everything.. after everything, I’m thankful that my last day is HAPPY :) thank you Lord!!! See you soon 2012!!!

In the roads of Bohol, among a heavy sea of various colored tricycles running at 10 kmph and usual family cars along the long and snail moving traffic along CPG avenue, no one can blame you if you are one of the many who have stopped, turned around to look at a flash of color going past you. It’s a car, a fresh sight of something so much more than the usual cars you see in the city, the engine or muffler roaring with the throttle as it speeds by.
It’s speeding along a short distance, limited by the small road. It reminded you of getting excited when you see it on TV. It’s looking so much more sophisticated than the usual. Whether you are and expert on cars or not, you can always tell it’s been modified. “Wow.” the easiest and favorite word to utter when in awe.
It’s a car, but it’s not just a car.
If you have an adequate or excessive amount of testosterone in your body, you will definitely know how to love and appreciate such complicated but beautiful machinery.
And it lightens up your mood. It’ nice to even know Boholanos are getting car conscious. and why not? if Cebuanos are known to be very extravagant when it comes to cars, Boholanos can be too.
After all, if girls are particular about what they wear, and how they look, boys will be boys and will love their toys!
Maybe oblivious to most, there is an existing, slow but steady rising group of car enthusiasts in Bohol, the car scene in our proud island is admittedly, still underrated but deserves the attention.
If you missed the first ever Car & Motor Show in Bohol, that was held last September 10, 2011 at Island City Mall, you definitely missed the opportunity to feel and see what the Boholanos are capable of in terms of car extravagance.
The car scene in Bohol, may be limited to some who can afford it, let’s say for example the professionals, business moguls and sons of business tycoons. But we know Boholanos can afford it. Why else would Bohol statistically have more or less 10-120 banks in Tagbilaran City alone? Boholanos can afford it, but not many would dare. It’s a bold move, to be honest, once you start changing something about your car, it never stops. You will always see something more to enhance, in the appearance or the performance.
Car modification, like when girls dress up too, has it’s standards. People have very different perceptions on it. Some are satisfied with low quality modification, and some even go the extra mile to ordering abroad for parts to install and spending extra bucks just for something new. It’s an acquired taste. It doesn’t automatically mean if you put on something new in your vehicle, it’s improved. Sometimes, even too much is bad. Yes, Even cars can be “baduy”.
The cars you see here are meticulously modified. Aside from adding things and changing a few features, a keen eye in car concept improvement is important too. Some grew up with it, modesty aside,are experts. So the next time you see a car in Bohol, running along or parked somewhere, keep it mind there is so much more that goes to it that putting together things for the car.
To be extravagant in many things, including cars is not a crime. Boholanos are ready. And it’s just a matter of time, hopefully, we get to see more of the high quality cars we see in our proud province. Slowly but surely, Bohol can soon be Fast and Furious.
